This is another of our family favorites from my mother in laws cookbook. The ironic thing is that there's actually no cinnamon in it. I've added cinnamon before and it's delicious either way.
Cream together the following:
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
pinch of salt
Combine the following and then add to the creamed sugar and butter mixture:
1/2 c. milk
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
After combining the two place in a round cake pan. It will be VERY thick.
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tbs. melted butter
Rub butter and sugar together with fingers and sprinkle on top of the batter. Poke all over with your fingers. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.
It's so easy and we like to eat it as a snack, dinner and breakfast.
