A Mommy Kind of Saturday

This Saturday was definitely NOT a mommy kind of Saturday.  I actually got to have a girls night out which included an overnight stay in a hotel (kid free, and free hotel!) that included getting to see two of the biggest boy bands of the past 20 years.  Have you guessed where I was yet??

It was amazing.  We felt like teenagers again.  Considering that the bands are now in the 30's and 40's they put on a wonderful show.  There was lots of dancing and all of the favorite songs.  Both bands also went into the crowds.  Very, very brave of them since many of the women there have been crushing on them since they were teenagers.  I do wish we would have had better seats.  We were in the highest section and there were only about 10 rows behind us to the top but there was a large screen so we could see well enough.  We also lucked out and our hotel was offering a shuttle there and back for $10 total per person.  All three of us agreed it was the best option since we would be dropped off and picked up right at the coliseum.  Best $10 I've spent in a while!  We were dropped off with plenty of time to make a restroom trip, grab souvenirs and drinks and make it to our seats.  Afterward we made our way out and there was room for us on the firs shuttle back.  No walking across dark parking lots late at night in the crazy heat or being stuck in traffic for hours trying to get there or back.

It was a wonderful and much needed night.
